Horizontal Braking Resistor

Traditional braking resistor from JEVI with complete instrumentation from 50 kW to 3000 kW. For use on drilling ships, FPSOs, jack-ups and cable-laying ships. Resistors can also be used to get rid of electrical braking energy from winches, top drives, propellers and cranes.

Available in a rack solution (plug-‘n’-play solution) with up to six resistors on an ordinary manifold and instrument junction box. The advantage of the rack system is that it is quick and easy to install at the shipyard.

May be placed in Safe and Ex areas (ATEX/IECEx).
